Now the king (Ahasuerus) loved Esther more than all the other women, and she won his grace and favor more than all the other virgins. So he placed the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. Then the king gave a great banquet, Esther’s banquet, for all his princes and servants. He proclaimed a holiday for the provinces and distributed gifts in keeping with the king’s wealth. Esther 2:17-18 Nosh: Esther won the heart of King Ahasuerus and as a result made her his wife. So happy was the king that he decided to celebrate and honor that love by proclaiming a holiday throughout his kingdom replete with gifts and blessing for all his subjects. Real love is not only a profound blessing for those experiencing it but is characterized by an unselfish desire to share the happiness it produces with others. It can truly be said that a happy and generous heart is a blessing for many.
