Adonai (the Lord) will open to you his good storehouse – the heavens – to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow, Adonai will make you the head and not the tail and you will only be above and not below – if you listen to the mitzvoth (laws) of Adonai your God that I Am commanding you today, careful to do them. (TLV) Deuteronomy 28:12-13 Nosh: Although the Lord is specifically speaking to Israel in this passage, the principle of His reward for our faithfulness holds true for all of us today. As I reflect on the years of my life I know, by God’s grace and mercy, that He has enabled me to remain faithful to Him. And though there have been many difficult moments, years, even seasons filled with trials and tribulations, I realize that from the broadest perspective God has rewarded my faithfulness with higher levels of peace, satisfaction, and accomplishment. I can personally attest that faithfulness to God does not go unseen or uncompensated.
